Slide Rock State Park

Just for the Kids

Red Rock Junior Ranger Program
Kids 6-12 are given an opportunity to become a junior ranger of Red Rock State Park. The kids are given an activity booklet at the visitor center in which they must complete during their visit. Once the booklet is complete they are asked to take the Junior Ranger Pledge, and become a member of the Sedona Ranger Family.

Camp Coyote
If you are looking to spend a relaxing day at the spa or on the golf course but unsure what to do with the kids, check out Camp Coyote. Located at the Enchantment resort in Sedona, the camp is designed for ages 4-12 and aims to educate and entertain with arts and crafts, nature walks, games, and other activities.

Sedona Heritage Museum
The museum offers a Kids Korral with games, a dress-up trunk, educational activities, and a Living History series.

Near Sedona

Out of Africa Wildlife Park
Located 40 minutes from Sedona, Out of Africa is a fun day trip for the whole family. With hundreds of animals from all over the world, daily performances, and safari tours, the wildlife park is a unique adventure for you and the kids to enjoy.

Verde Canyon Railroad
Often referred to as Arizona’s longest running nature show, the Verde Canyon Railroad is a relaxing scenic adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Just 25 miles from Sedona, the train takes you on a 4-hour journey from Clarkdale to Perkinsville and back.
